Fall Protection User
U.S. Safety offers a 4-hour user level training course that is designed for employees who routinely work at height, and who are supervised by their company’s Competent Person(s) for fall protection.
Upon successful completion of this course, at a minimum, the participants will be able to discuss and demonstrate the following topics:
• Hazard recognition, evaluation and control of fall potentials
• Fall protection requirements of different OSHA Standards
• Types of conventional fall protection and their basic elements
• Types of alternative & non-conventional means of fall protection
• Proper selection, use, inspection and care of fall protection equipment
• Initiation heights
• The difference between fall arrest and fall protection
• Harness fit testing
• Proper selection and use of PFAS, positioning devices and restraints
• Fall calculations
