COVID-19 has been financially and emotionally challenging for many employers and employees alike. The CDC and public health authorities around the world have made recommendations to contain this virus. Implication:
• OSHA Standards require employers to provide training to each employee who is exposed to any known hazard.
• 2020 PPP legislation: Amnesty for employers was removed.
• As of January 2021, OSHA has written over $3.5 million in COVID citations
• Employers can be litigated against for failure to train and protect employees
U.S. Safety started supplying COVID training and information to our clients in February 2020, and have been continually providing updates as we became of aware of the CDC’s changes and recommendations.
