COVID-19

COVID-19 has been financially and emotionally challenging for many employers and employees alike. The CDC and public health authorities around the world have made recommendations to contain this virus. Implication:

• OSHA Standards require employers to provide training to each employee who is exposed to any known hazard.
• 2020 PPP legislation: Amnesty for employers was removed.
• As of January 2021, OSHA has written over $3.5 million in COVID citations
• Employers can be litigated against for failure to train and protect employees
